Apart from leggings/dresses what to wear after a C section??

I have been living in leggings and dresses/tights since my C section 2 weeks ago but all my dresses and long tops still make me look slightly (ok more than slightly) pregnant..What did you wear after you had a C section?
My maternity over the bump stuff is now too big and my mat skinny jeans and denim skirt from Gap are just too tight as the bump band is under my bump (well squashing my now squishy tummy) and just not comfy on the scar.
I tried some jeggings on but again they don't come up over the bump enough (any recommendations on where to get over the bump ones would be great) and also they were a bit baggy around the tummy/crotch and when I bent down in the changing room they rode down around the bum - attractive..
Any ideas?

My sister has a cs and wore a lot of high waisted trousers, this sort of thing. She found them more comfortable and they also hold the belly in!

Am liking the high waisted look..Could have done with those pre-pregnancy to keep me in shape! Thanks..

I wore either dresses that were more empire line or some of my maternity trousers that were over the bump ones. That is,when I wasn't in pjs :o

Yep I second the higher waisted jeans. Doesn't have to be too high necessarily, but you don't want anything buttoning up at the scar point which a low rise jean might.

But not too tight jeans should be fine after 2 weeks.

Give yourself a break about the looking pregnant thing - if you give birth "traditionally" then it takes 10 days for your uterus to contract (slightly less if you exclusively breastfeed though it probably varies slightly from person to person anyway of course) and if you have a c-section, it takes 6 weeks average, breastfeeding or not. I don't know why that is the case but my midwife told me that.

Its good that your maternity stuff is too big though, that's a good sign.

I saw some stretchy jersey 'jeggings' in sainsburys which went over my cs area nicely and looked a bit smarter than the usual 'fashion jegging' think they were £10.
I also lived mostly in leggings and long tops - a couple of long shirt dresses were good as easier to BF in rather then lifting up entire dress or tunic!
I second what Batty says too - give yourself a break it does get better and your tummy will go down after a few weeks. I had cs 11 weeks ago and will finally be going jeans shopping tomorrow as my maternity jeans I've been living in are now falling down!

Juicy couture tracking pants (ducks and runs). Wish I realized just how comfortable they are after my first cs. Lived in them for a month after the second one. And they can look quite smart too- I have black and grey ones.

Shift dresses - the really sixties style ones - i have seen them on the high street quite a lot, with thick tights. I'd gof ro black shift with coloured or patterned tights and ballet flats or boots.

Or if you just want scruffs to go to the shops in etc, yoga pants and long tee shirt. Soooo comfy Grin
