dh laughed at mine this morning and asked if i was saving the rainforests!

But the last 3 times ive shaved it (waxing and then cream removal) its left me really spotty, and i mean large unattractive spots like teenagers get on their face.

So how do you do yours? Is there any way to guarantee no spots?

I shave mine, and I do still get very tiny little spots sometimes, but last time I had it waxed I nearly died, Im such a wimp, I hate pain.,

Do you shave it with a normal razor?

I had my first wax 2 weeks ago. Landing strip style. It barely hurt (honestly-more an oddly satisfying ripping sensation).

I am awed by the results. It's unbelievably smooth and I (note 'I' not DP) love love LOVE how it feels both on an everyday basis and a sexual one.

As someone who used to shave it all....using 2 disposable razors at a time and having regrowth (plus ingrown hairs/rash) in a few days...it's amazing. 10 days later and still super smooth.

I used to get terrible minge acne spots after shaving, until I saw a recommendation for Tend Skin - on here, possibly. It's basically alcohol that you splash on after shaving and it's incredibly good at keeping the spots at bay. I use it straight after shaving and a couple of days after, just once a day after the shower.

I stopped bothering trying to wax, as shaving is so much quicker and the Tend Skin keeps the skin nice.

Lol, i hate being hairy, if i wasnt with dh id still want it hairless (or deffo less hairy than it is now).

I don't think you could whittle a commune from pubes. Maybe knit one, if enough MNers were prepared to donate theirs. Some sort of pube-yurt settlement perhaps?

I used to home wax, but got lots of ingrown hairs and I never managed to get all of them. I hate pampering and being messed about with, so have never fancied salon wax. I own an epilator but wouldn't dare put this on my ladies' area. So back to shaving for me.

You do get a kind of hot, tingly sensation when you put it on, but I actually quite like it.

You need to exfoliate to avoid the spots.

The above is utter bullshit by the way. Yes-If a man moans about or refuses to have sex with someone with a hairy fanjo then he's clearly got issues and is therefore a crap shag. If a man who is an awesome shag in a healthy and happy and mutually curious sexual relationship finds he gets excited and aroused at the new found sexual sensitivity and orgasmic potential often experienced when a woman has a wax then no....he's not a crap shag.

I epilate, usually afterwards whenever I shower I exfoliate with an exfoliating glove, you can also get an aftercare cream which prevents ingrowing hairs from boots. But I've never needed these creams.

Salon waxing is all well and good but it might be expensive for people to have that done on a regular basis. For me, I just can't be arsed with the regrowth before having to get it done because of swimming etc.

Epilator is great for the calves, but sheer unadulterated hell on the bikini line, and that's without even going in any further [hshock]

Hellto I think it's brilliant - I do maintenance weekly - just go short all over with the graded comb thingy then take off to shave bikini line gets really close and no spots! Saves a fortune on Salon....

Probaly an optical illusion but it makes your hips look wider if completely bare
