Right, I used a clariol nice and easy in medium brown I think. I didn't like it, it gave me reddish tones but did dye over my very old gold blonde ends and it looked ok. Nice shiny and glossy.

So now I've done way over my 60 washes I would like to go a light brown. What colour do I need?
I worry about going going pink or green.

All advice very welcome and yes I will do a strand test

I do mean a rather light brown but not blonde if that makes any sense?

What colour would you describe yourself now? Is it still "medium" in terms of depth? (i.e how dark it is)

It's quite dark yes. Definitely medium just faded. The old gold ends are coming back and I've been left with a reddish tinge from roots to midway.

It's not as dark as it was though. You wouldn't think it's not natural I don't think.

I've had a good look at the clariol colours and have decided if I go to blonde I look ridiculous- platinum blonde in my youth has shown me so.
So I'm thinking either: Natural lightest brown OR Natural light brown.

What do you think? Will it work? I want the red tinge gone!

Any ideas anyone?
