Hi

Just wondering if anyone has tried Liz earles cleanse and polish and also the cheaper alternatives. If so is there really much difference?

Used the no7 cleansing polish for the second time tonight and whilst it's nice I'm not overwhelmed to be honest!

Also notice tesco do a bnatural organic cleanser which you use a muslin cloth with that done old threads recommend.

Normally use no7 wipes or body shop vitamin e range but skin needs a boost at mo- pregnancy bloom has eluded me so far!

Thank you everyone. Interesting to see some of the comments here ended up on mumsnet swears by email.

Am going to ask for some cleanse and polish for Xmas. I can't justify the cost myself especially when I have products they need using up.

Megfox- I dont think the amount you spend is anything to go with being obsessed with your looks. I have used aldi/lidls beauty products in the past - some good some awful.

I am not that keen on the TSV today but that is because I use the products and prefer full sizes. They are good for travelling through and a fantastic starter kit for anyone new to the brand - remember you can return it if you don't like it!

If you are looking for cheap and effective, Boots Essentials range of cleansers are good and cost about £1.20.

Eve Lom got a blasting on www.beautypedia.com- they say it's rubbish.

I use the Tesco one - very similar to LE . It is nigh on impossible to find now but I have a huge stash that should keep me going for agesGrin

Mrs Baggins- I'm amazed you managed to find any. Its like hens teeth round here. have they repackaged?

I got the cleanser, toner and moisturiser just over a month ago after finishing off my previous Dermalogica and reading rave reviews on here.

I want to love it. It smells absolutely heavenly esp the Toner. But my face did completely breakout when I started using it. Noticably so. Even DH asked what I'd been doing differently to my face.

Could every day with the cloth have been too much for my skin? Was it the gunk coming out of my skin? Spots were all down my nose side, on cheeks and chin. Lots of them. And for about 4 weeks. I've now stopped using the cleanser and am just using the toner and moisturiser with a face wash and it's calmed down a lot. Any advice from C&P experts?

What's in the LE stuff to make it so effective? What's the active ingredient? I'm using Superdrug's version atm which does the job, ie cleans my face without leaving it stinging. But, tbh, any cleanser washed off with a flannel will do the job for me so what's the big deal about Liz Earle?

BrandyAlexander · 15/10/2011 15:57

No idea what the active ingredients are but am a Liz Earle devotee. Switched to C&P about 4 years and very smooth skin now with no spots!

ilovemyteddy · 15/10/2011 16:07

A friend of mine recommended LE C&P to me a couple of years ago and I love it. I use all of her skincare range now and have smooth line-free skin, despite being an old gimmer!

I've found it better for my sensitive skin that some other more expensive ranges (no more spots, stinging or dryness), and when you order from the website they include little sample freebies with your order.
