That's it really - I've got huge, wide feet - usually need a 9EEE or a 10 if I can't get shoes extra wide. Evans have pretty much been the only place I've looked for shoes. Ever. But I'm desperate for a bit of choice and also I went in today and couldn't see anything I really liked.

I need a pair of black boots for work - just ordinary boots to go with black trousers, and a pair of knee high boots would be good as well. I only went to a fairly small Evans today but with more and more shops selling big clothes sizes now, I'm hoping you'll have tales of all the millions of shoe shops that now do 9s and 10s...

Next do wide shoes/boots up to size 9 and they are quite generous too.

Have a look at the footwear section of www.simplybe.co.uk. Their catalogue (I get one through the door) has a large selection of shoes and boots in larger / wider sizes.

Evans shoes and boots are ime bad value for money, shoddily made and just don't last (but maybe I am heavy on shoes)

Where do0 you live? There's a shop in South Hampstead (North London NW3) that specialises in shoe sizes 9 and above for women and men. I think there's another one in St John's Wood NW*

Thanks for the posts - brilliant. I'm in Manchester and am v. grumpy today as the crapola shoes I panic bought in Evans the other day were really effing uncomfortable and I think I'll have to bin them Am down now to 1 pair of brown boots and 1 pair of black boots with no heels left on them. And a pair of men's converse trainers! Ho hum. Will try out SimplyBe I think.

Hope you find something, I have no boots and mens Gola trainers at the moment. Must get shopping!
