using velcro rollers?

As well as using them straight after I've washed and dried my hair to give it lift and volume I'd also like to put them into dry hair between washes.

Which hair product could I use on dry hair to give it staying power, something that isn't sticky like the old fashioned hair spray?

to get the best hold you use something called a setting lotion - L'oreal professional do one, but it is wet and so you need to wait for it to dry or use a hairdryer to dry your hair before you can take rollers out.

To be honest your best bet is probably hair spray as it will not dampen the hair too much. If you get one like L'oreal (as YB mentioned) it should brush out easily without being too heavy. Look for a hairspray that describes itself as lightweight or something like that.
