I am a size 10/12, with a less than perfect post-baby tummy and 32F norks. I can't wear the lovely 60s inspired tunics and shifts that are EVERYWHERE atm as high necks do nothing for me. I like v necks and scoops. I want to keep my upper arms covered. I want to look sophisticated and if at all possible, a little bit cool. I think I have a pretty standard body and I can't be the only one who wants these things....

I am going to a hen do which will involve cocktails and dancing and.... people from the past!!

Can you help?

I've just bought this from oasis and it's very flattering.

dress

millybird · 26/09/2011 13:40

Hells or flats?

millybird · 26/09/2011 13:40

...heels!! or flats!! : D

Hi yes that is the very one! I buy quite a bit from pepperberry as I am a size 10/12 bottom half but with 34gg boobs ( sorry I really can't bring myself to say the n word!!!). I would order a 12 r/sc in that dress for myself and it would fit nicely. You may want to try a 10 r/sc and a 12 c/sc and compare them. Pepperberry deliver quickly and the returns and refund service is fantastic. I always order two of everything and send one back. One word of warning - their dresses are quite low cut and you may want a cami under it if you are shy about showing off your cleavage. The pepperberry Facebook page has lots of pictures of customers wearing the clothes and as the dress went on sale today there will prob be some pictures of that dress and some fitting tips on the page this evening.

What about So Couture Bombshell dress. I bought a cream one for a big summer party and it made me feel a million dollars. Perfect for big boobs and very flattering across the tummy. Comes in several lovely colours and 3/4 length or capped sleeves. Google it as I am not sure how to set up link!

The LK Bennett Davina is gorgeous! I tried it on in Magenta yesterday and although I bought a different dress (which I also love) I can't stop thinking about how fab it looked so will be going back to get one this weekend!

HeavyHeidi · 26/09/2011 21:20

Just wanted to complain after checking Pepperberry - there are some new dresses described as appropriate for work. Don't you wonder where exactly those women work who can have their tits out like that?

Not in my office for sure.

Mumleigh · 27/09/2011 11:12

Yes Pepperberry dresses are v low cut! It's a common complaint on their Facebook site that you have to wear cami tops under the dresses. I use them mainly for evening wear and stick to monsoon for day time.

Mumleigh · 27/09/2011 11:18

The tartan pepperberry dress does not look as low cut in a picture if a customer wearing it on their Facebook page. That's another issue with pepperberry - the models are pinned into the dresses making it impossible to see what the dress will look like on you.

Got this for a wedding recently. Not my normal style or colours. Looks bloody amazing, haven't had that much attention in years!

HeavyHeidi · 27/09/2011 11:48

CaveMum I love the Davina dress, but will be able to squeeze my F-cups in? Often such dresses are cut for B-s..
(I live abroad, so postage and returns are really expensive.)

CaveMum · 27/09/2011 12:40

HeavyHeidi, I can't comment on that aspect (A cups Sad) but the dress is certainly cut for curves - I've got an arse on me!

The fabric also has a fair bit of give in it, much more so than the other dress I bought which requires Spanks!

MrsMilton · 27/09/2011 21:33

DottyP that So Couture Bombshell dress... love the 3/4 length sleeved one, what's the sizing like?

Buy a wrap dress. It will suit your figure beautifully.

Nermalkins · 27/09/2011 23:03

Have you thought of something like this ? www.vivienofholloway.com/en/category/50s%20Halterneck%20Satin%20Dress/1950s-halterneck-satin-dress/75/

Its a dress designed for curves and its quite frolicsome :)

vanillamum · 27/09/2011 23:09

Notsofast-I love that dress you linked to.

basana · 27/09/2011 23:10

Push the budget and go to Reiss: here
Try Lola, Viva, Maddox (depending how much arm you mind covering, some have longer sleeves than others, there are also proper long sleeves e.g. Janna but a bit clingier).
Some of the other links are a bit frumpy or office wear, not a super cool hen do outfit. Reiss is generous so a 10-12 will definitely get in a 10. Pair of Spanx and you're sorted :)

HeavyHeidi · 28/09/2011 07:10

Reiss dresses are indeed very pretty - same question though, what about boobs? I've only seen those dresses worn by small-breasted women, can us F-cups fit in?

MrsSeanBean · 28/09/2011 16:20

I bought a black jersey wrap dress in Sainsbury's the other day for £18. It's very akin to a dress I got in the White Company last year for £90. Sainsbury's doesn't appear to have its clothing on a website so can't do a link.

Mumleigh · 28/09/2011 17:08

oooh I love that Reiss Lola dress! I have tried on some Reiss dresses and have really struggled to fit my 34GGs into them. I'd love to know if anyone has tried it on.

HazleNutt · 28/09/2011 18:33

Oh me too and the LK Davina. Has anybody around F-cup tried them?
