OK so how great REALLY is the Babyliss Big Hair? And do I get one?

Do I really NEED a Babyliss Big Hair? I've heard a lot of people say it's the dog's bollocks but is it? Really? And is it better for short hair or long hair? And why?

Hallo! We noticed that BaByliss Big Hair talk crops up every Christmas! Wanted to let you know that we've just recorded a 'How-To' video and have added it to our MNers reviews of the BaByliss Big Hair here.
We used the 42mm barrel in the video, which works just right for shoulder-length hair that's not too thick!
