Are Duo only for the chunky of calf though as thankfully not an issue wuth moi?

I am sure you can similar for less if you don't need Duo tailoring.

I thought Duo did a whole range of calf sizes, for skinnies too?

I have had one pair and hated them Very baggy at the ankle, and not great quality. I was actually very dissapointed.

The boot you have shown is not my style at all, but I am sure it is very nice if that is your kind of thing. Sorry.

Duo tailor to your calf size, so very small to very large calves. One thing I found was that they come up a bit bigger so you might want to size down by a centimetre or two. Maybe that was just in the boots I got though. Must say I thought the stuff I got from them was fab...

Measure your calf, and they will do your size, so should fit snugly.

My lovely Hobbs boots in leather that I have passed on after 3 years still look fantastic.

They are objects of lust. I wouldn't be able to walk in them though.
