A/W version of the school run dress please?

You guys always give great advice and I got a good dress following tips on here! So now I need a couple of dresses for A/W suitable for everyday and also to wear to school itself (teacher). Want something ok now and then with tights and boots please. Not too high a budget would be good!

I walked through m&s today and just couldn't believe how much acrylic there was - an acrylic knitted dress £35 - I don't think so!

Oh I'm tubby at the moment so barrel like sadly true.

I did see a couple of v nice silk tops in Autograph. One reminded me a bit of your Turn Of The Screw thread! Hang on - will try and find.

Oh and I tried the coated jeans things on again - they are actually v nice and dd1 really liked them on me but I felt short and fat in them.
