What to wear with black jacket

I rather stupidly bought a very expensive smart black jacket a couple of years ago. Stupid, because I didn't get the matching trousers at the same time. So, now I find I can't wear it very often (it's for work) because my other black trousers are not quite the same black, if you see what I mean. The fabric is polyester (yes, perhaps another reason to berate myself for a silly impulse buy).

Any ideas as to what I could wear it with? TIA

I'd look for a nice red, or black and white shift dress - I know Next is not the favourite place on MN, but I've seen a couple of nice shift dresses on their website.

The jacket is hip length. Unfortunately, I have bad veins in my legs so can't wear dresses that are short. Thanks for helping :)
