open toe wedges with tights?

Ok I have a wedding to go to. I was thinking of wearing a Fenn Wright and Mason dress in beige/teal with open toe neutral wedges. However my legs are in no state to go tightless. Are toeless tights the height of bad taste?

Oooh, I wear them all the time. Totally naff when you take your shoes off, but when you have them on no-one can even tell unless they look closely and your legs look good. Plus prevents chaffing IYNWIM. Best to get the really sheer ones (7 denier).

Sorry very rudely got engrossed in The Killing and forgot to look for replies. 7 denier sounds great and I will keep my shoes on.

I've worn them once. I found them ok, only issue was that the bit where the tights ended at the toe seemed to creep up my foot so the elastic ribbing showed. Depends how much "toe cleavage" your shoes show - if not much or none then you should be ok.

Shoes are low on cleavage so should be fine.
