Lovely bag that will carry a laptop - for a gift

I've been tasked with buying a gift for a friends 40th - a bag that can fit a laptop, but not an expensive over sized handbag, or a too 'practical' laptop bag.

It is for someone quite arty, fun and classic.

I'm not having much luck and I'm finding shopping hard with dd's 3 and months.

Any ideas gratefully received. Budget up to £80, £100 at a push.

ooh I love the Bermondsey one, shame its not leather.

We're looking at black/brown/tan (personally I like more colour).

It's for a 40 year old BF Mum of 2 , with the aim of feeling/looking together & great as she writes her degree finishing thesis.

I quite like this but is it too plain? Is it 'feelgood'?

don't know what I say "shame it's not leather" - got my Mum's voice in my head "if it's not leather it's not good" (NB Mum is one of the least stylish women around bless her)

will go into JL with a friend to see them in the flesh, will try and find the Bermondsey too for a feel - thanks for your help
