Last time you had deep outfit-envy of someone, what was she wearing?

At a birthday party this weekend, one of the mums was wearing a ditsy print floral playsuit with wedge sandals - never in a million years could i carry that off but she looked so stylish that I was virtually following her round for an ogle.. I usually get this same awestruck feeing with those girls who work the expensive camel and blonde-highlights look... What outfits make you style-envious?

Not wardrobe envy exactly, but we have just spent a weekend in Aix en Provence and have never seen so much beauty in one place in my life. All lissom, tanned limbs and slimness and effortless style...just gorgeous. And completely unattainable. Also saw a beautiful young girl in what looked like a Boden maxi at the pool yesterday.It was the first time I have ever seen a maxi worn well. Again with that I have just thrown this old thing on look about her. Lovely.

Picture in mind of doublet and hose Confused

Singlet = vest

A woman walked past me today as I was waiting for the bus, dressed in flared dark denim jeans, a white vest top, a fitted 3/4 sleeve tan coloured blazer, and tan wedges. Her hair was in a scraped up but sleek looking high ponytail, and she had gorgeous sunglasses on. She looked effortless. I positively ogled her until she was out of sight, and instantly felt like a mess in my linen pants and vest top Envy

I'm always envious of women who managed those messy "up-dos"; if I try to imitate this style it just falls straight down unless I go for the Streatham facelift effect.

I remember admiring Rachel Johnson's wardrobe when I watched the documentary about her taking over as Editor of The Lady. She managed to look a bit mad and thrown together whilst having an air of style. Something which I shall never, ever achieve!
