  • how is it actually different to a good tinted moisturiser?

Is it more like a primer?

Is it tinted moisturiser with a silly name?

ggirl · 25/08/2011 17:47

christ! I didn't notice an age range.
I'm 49 and wear it alone and it makes me look 29 Wink

bought the garnier one yesterday too, really love it. excellent base for make up. perhaps gets a wee bit shiny as the day goes on though....

I want to try this - I haven't got time to go to town so I wonder if they sell it in tesco yet.

ChuckYouFarlie · 25/08/2011 20:25

Oooh, have heard about these...
Are they better for dry skin or oily skin? Anyone know? I am v dry of skinHmm

Back of the box 'Recommended age of use' a bar thing looks as if they suggest 20-37ish.

I have a couple that I ordered from asia - Missha Perfect Cover and Loielle Triple Solution.

They are far more than a tinted moisturiser - most of these have SPF 30 or greater, and have active skincare ingredients. They are kind of foundation/primer in one. The colours are generally limited and weird - the story is that they go on grey and then oxidise to your skin tone. I find using powder or bronzer over the top matches them in perfectly - they seem to need warming up.

I do really like the ones I have but dont wear them a huge amount. The coverage is full, so it means if I use them I have to use bronzer/blusher etc. I dont need that as a SAHM, but if you were someone who likes a full face, these would work very well.

The best thing about these is the SPF, the way they fill in pores and give you a soft-focus look thats really attractive. The big names in Asia are Missha, Skin79 and Skinfood - Youtube has lots of reviews. I ordered the Missha one from ebay and the Lioelle one from Lillieshop.net. Lioelle is my fav as its more moisturising, I have dry skin...

Late - thanks for the info re Asian ones, might give them a go. Love the idea that they fill in pores!

ggirl · 25/08/2011 22:35

yes they def make you skin look better
don't think it makes me look 'full face'
I am paranoid about looking too made up , always check in 5x mirror
the garnier one is great for me
i have worn today at work with just blush etc, totally natural look as can't look made up as a nurse

No miracle for me Sad, but probably evened my skin out a bit. In the last few months I've tried Beauty Flash Balm, Estee Lauder Daywear sheer tint, Estee Lauder Nutritious Vita-Mineral Liquid Makeup, Aldi shimmering day cream Hmm and now the Garnier product. The only comment I've had about my skin looking good was when I was wearing the Beauty Flash - (but then it followed a night of energetic sex so could have been that).
Still looking for ultimate face transforming product (paper bag? Grin ).
Off to get my head eyes tested now.
