Can I wear these trousers or are they just too silly?

Not been on MN long and this is the first thread I've started.

I'm in my early fifties. I dress youngish - usually favour good quality skinny trousers, good jackets & boots. I occasionally dress in the Lagenlook style and I've seen these jeans/denim trousers on Ebay. I keep looking at them but I think I might get laughed at in the street if I wore them!
I would wear them with a long fitted top and short jacket (possibly black) and flat pumps.
I'm five foot six and size 12/14.

What do you ladies think - are they just too silly?
Tell me honestly please.

They would make anyones arse look massive.

lubeybooby · 22/08/2011 13:59

Oh my god. I'm SO glad you are not buying them, phew!

MY EYES.

I see the seller describes them as 'easy chic'. Can (s)he be had up on trades descriptions charges?

Totally not my cup of tea, but if you are into experimenting with your outfits, that might just work with everything pretty simple, basic and black. I would disagree with a lot of people in this thread and say go for it - if only for the challenge of daring to wear it.

herbaceous - heh heh :)

I often look at that seller's items - I kinda like the lagenlook style, but maybe it's a bit 'emperor's new clothes'? Mostly expensive and not too flattering unless you are tall.

Think I might still buy something similar though, if only I could find some with a more subdued pattern.
Don't think I'd have the guts to step out my front door in the graffiti ones!
