I have tried the oil cleansing method and had no joy so am looking for something that will prevent hormonal spots but not turn my forehead too dry. Can anyone recommend me one to save me spending hours staring at the shelves of boots while trying to prevent 2 LOs from running away/killing each other/emptying the shelves??!!

Just started using neals yard palmarosa facial wash followed by palmarosa toner and moisturiser. Been 3 weeks and so far so good! No spots in that time. Feels a bit dry but not quite as dry as previously. Smells fab too. Forehead is (almost) flawless...

Neutrogena do a good one called visibly clear. Pink grapefruit flavour.
I like the neals yard one mentioned too, only thing is that it's quite spendy and they stopped doing the bigger bottles which were better value.

I tried the NYR Palamrosa and found it too drying. I like the Ren one for combo skin (can't remember the name) and also the Dermalogica one (essential cleansing gel) - both contain natural salicylic acid which clears blemishes.

Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish, has been a big hit with my combination skin.....would definitely recommend.

The decleor foaming face wash here is excellent. I have used it for years.

I can recommend the website too.

I've tried the oil cleansing method and Liz Earle, as well as pretty much everything else under the sun, on my combination, hormonally spotty skin and seem to have finally hit on an answer. It was from a website about managing acne and spotty skin.
Basically..... it said use a mild, preferably slightly moisturising face wash (I use Simple), 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel (available over the counter from Boots) on spotty bits, and a good moisturiser (after the benzoyl peroxide gel has dried). But the point it really insisted on was that you have to be very very gentle with your skin. No scrubbing, polishing, rubbing, picking etc. No muslin or flannel. Barely touch when you wash, pat very gently with towel to dry.
Sorry to waffle on, but seriously it has transformed my skin.
