Ok so I have ordered the stuff & am going to attempt the Brazilian blow dry treatment at home.

Will I be able to do it myself? Anyone got any experience or advice they can offer?

Do you get roots with it? I confess I am tempted if I can find a good deal, too scared to do it at home though.

Also, I was told to use straighteners the next 2 days (once a day).

LowLevelWhingeing · 18/08/2011 20:53

Not really stripey. it gradually washes out.

I wash my hair every day so I notice my old hair type returning after about 2 months, but apparently if you wash your hair less often you can get up to 4 months out of it.

Are you able to re-dye your hair as normal?

I have too many questions. Sure when I do it I will get it all wrong.

Bunsouttheoven · 18/08/2011 23:54

Fart - instructions say can be coloured after 48hrs.

Avaria - will be purchasing said shampoo tomorrow.

Low - will def do top up straightening tomorrow & next day in an effort to get it to hold. However, been out in the rain twice today & it definitely has not remained straight but not fuzzy.

Keep us updated. Am tempted, but not keen on not washing hair for 4 days. Am also temped to just save for a couple of months and get it done professionally, in the knowledge that I will probably bugger it up.

Girls!!! I washed my hair 30 mints ago....it's amazing!!! I can't believe!! It took me 5 mints to dry my hair and they are so beautiful...OMG...they are so heavy! they are so shiny!! they are so straight and soft!!! and it took me 5-10 mints to just dry it!!!! I highly reccommend this treatment!!!!But I did it in the salone...as i mentioned before i didn't wash my hair for 3 days, using straightener once a day (today they looked so ...hmm...how to say..:)))) well you understand:)) and I used sulfate -free shampoo and a bit of hair balsam. Will call my hairdresser 2morow to appreciate his efforts in convincing me:)

Well I washed by hair today. Not sure the treatment has made any difference to my hair. What a disappointment. Maybe it does need to be on laden with noxious chemicals to work? BuggarGrin

mine was Copola keratin treatment and probably this treatement needs to be done in salon. I wouldnt do it at home even though it costs less.
