Where can I buy plainish girls clothes for dd?

DD is 9, she knows what she likes and doesn't like and would choose to wear boys clothes nearly the whole time if I let her.

Where can I buy her plainish shorts, trousers and t shirts?

She will not wear leggings and doesn't like pink.

I've looked at boden and they have some of the sort of stuff I need, but are a bit over budget.

Any ideas?

Don't write off Asda. I am as fussy as anything and I have got a few nice plain t-shirts from there and plain shorts. They even had some 1930s-style summer dresses this year - only £5 - and dd's has been much admired.

I just don't understand why shops seem to have this cut-off point at around 7 years for decent clothes. Who are these buyers who determine that childhood ends at 7 and after that all girls must look like hookers?
