Perfume recommendations for someone who doesn't really like perfume?

Sorry the title may not really make sense - what I mean is I find almost all perfumes too pungent. I'm after a clean fresh scent that does not overpower.

Once in a while I will wear DH's Clinique Happy for men and I don't mind the version for women, but its not really what I'm looking for.

I don't like perfume and find Jo Malone particularly cloying.

However, I adore Eau Dynamisante and wear it all the time, but it's not really perfume

Gucci 11. Been around a while but I find it light and not over-powering.

tarquin - i treated myself to some of that and it is the first 'perfume' I have really liked, other than fatershavey-stuff :)

F1lthym1ndedvixen, it's lovely isn't it. I'm toying with the idea of buying a second bottle cos they are usually limited edition for the Summer only.

This is the first year I have worn perfume cos I couldn't smell it before (was a smker until last year) so I wanted something that wasn't too overpowering and I love it

How about Dolce & gabbana Light Blue? I only like citrussy ones and am forever picking u the mens ones (i managed to buy 2 of the 6 numbers D&G ones only to discover they were both men's ones Smile. Light Blue is my favourite at the moment. L'Occitane do some nice Green Tea and Verbena ones which are quite nice too.

Perfume sets off my asthma so I can only wear a few light ones which may suit you J-Lo Glow, which has already been mentioned and Stella McCartney (I think the one I have is Sheer)

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea smells very clean, fresh and juicy. It's also widely available for around a tenner. Well worth a try.

L'Occitaine verbena perfume is lovely, light and lemony.
