I dithered over whether or not to buy these boots last time they were reduced - and then they went out of stock. I have ordered them today!

Guess what has just turned up? I am with Orangina - I am struggling to get my foot into the foot part of the boot! I don't want to force them on as I have the school run to do in a minute. I need a long shoe horn I reckon. Usually their shoes are ok on me too.

snap! how weird mine have just turned up too! also struggling to get them on!

orangina · 05/12/2005 14:44

no wonder they were reduced ...

orangina · 05/12/2005 14:45

must admit, haven't tried too hard, as I'm at work and am trying not to turn the office into a shop changing room..... has anyone ever tried on the real mccoy (the fryes)... are they any easier to get on?

FimbleBellsFIMBOAllTheWay · 05/12/2005 14:47

And the second time too at £37.50 - this batch must have been the ones from the time before that one could get on their feet! Mmm. If we complain en masse do you reckon we could get our delivery charges back? I am very as the leather is beautiful.

i have tried them on, tried pulling, stomping ect, have now started a thread about how do is use a shoe horn, i really like them, they are far less clumpy looking in real life too, just wish i could get my foot in them, the heal inside is just sooo stiff.

They however fit DD1 (3 years) perfectly!!

Queenmab · 05/12/2005 14:56

Mine are here - I have horrid long bony feet and legs and these are the first pair of boots I have tried on for ages which actually fit! Can see why people with normal feet may be having trouble...!

orangina · 05/12/2005 14:57

queenmab, were you able to get them on easily? I'm with Fimble re: a mass action to get our delivery charges back..... (will try harder to get them on when I'm home though!)

katzglitterytree · 05/12/2005 15:01

i want them to fit, i reallllllllly like them

orangina · 05/12/2005 15:03

katzglitterytree, really laughed at your shoehorn thread and admitting that your phd didn't help you get your boots on !

katzglitterytree · 05/12/2005 15:04

well its in engineering!! so i should be practical!
do you think will power alone would do it?

So Blueteddy do you think a shoehorn would help with the inital few wearings?

Orangina, mine were easy peasy, but I do have odd shaped feet... Also, I'm a size 41 so feet usually look quite large but these do make then look really small!

FimbleBellsFIMBOAllTheWay · 05/12/2005 15:43

Yeeesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!
Fimbo does it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did a Blueteddy, pulled and pulled and pulled until yippee!!. Best bargain ever. They are gorgeous. The picture does not do them justice on their website. Much softer (and nicer but thats m o) than "proper" Fryes.

orangina · 05/12/2005 15:46

fimbo, just let us know when you manage to take them off !

FimbleBellsFIMBOAllTheWay · 05/12/2005 15:47

Orangina - LOL!! I am keeping them on until DH gets home at 7.

OP posts:
orangina · 05/12/2005 15:50

My dh is away on business, don't know whether I dare force them on my feet in case I end up sleeping with them on...

FimbleBellsFIMBOAllTheWay · 05/12/2005 15:52

Just as well it wasn't last Monday or I would have been in mine until Wednesday! LOL. Force them on and then go to your neighbour to yank them off (my neighbour came to ask my dh to get rid of a moth when her dh was away - same thing!)

OP posts:
orangina · 05/12/2005 15:56

We need one of those things that you use to take wellies off with (not so useful in a london flat on the 4th floor, no sight of a garden within 200 yards... )

katzglitterytree · 05/12/2005 16:29

okay so i need to pull and pull and pull! right will give that a try
