Waitrose baby bottom butter makes a good "hot cloth cleansing pomade" for dryish skin

PetiteMum · 28/07/2011 19:46

Superdrug vit e face wash for everyday.... And agree with bobbi brown makeup. Mascara I never spend too. Much either as I replace frequently. My fave at the moment is bourgeois eyeliner mascara

RichTeaAreCrap · 28/07/2011 19:48

Nivea tinted moisturiser great for everyday use. Also on offer at about £1.50 at the moment.

bibbitybobbityhat · 28/07/2011 19:50

Pay £££ for moisturiser and foundation as they sit on your skin all day.

Everything else can be budget, imo.

Worth paying for: Beauty Flash Balm / Bare Minerals foundation set / Urban Decay eyeliners and eyeshadow / Lancome Definicils mascara

Cheap but good - Boots Natural Collection blusher / Revlon nailvarnish / Vaseline / Flexitol / Radox bubble bath / Waitrose own bubble bath

Bourgeois eyeliner mascara runs like rivers, maybe because I've really oily skin. Maybelline is great no panda eyes. I know I'm a newbie but I'm an expert at cheap stuff. No 7 is no good for make up but food enough for skincare.

LeBOF · 10/09/2011 01:53

Max Factor Lash Extention Effect mascara, about eight quid. Easily as good as YSL Faux Cils and Lancôme False Lash, which are both £25+.

QuinnFabray · 10/09/2011 08:11

Rimmel 25 hour foundation is good, amazing for the price. Bourjois foundations are really good to, just a little more expensive. Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer. My favourite lipstick is a Collection 2000 lasting finish one. And one of my favourite blushers is an MUA one, for a pound.

love clarins beauty flash eyes
ponds cocoa butter for all over moisturiser .....

I like the natural collection (boots) make up, the mascara and eye shadows are good and only a couple of pounds each. I have just bought the bourjois 10 hour sleep effect foundation after reading good reviews on here and on the boots website. My friend said I looked radiant when I was wearing it. I have to say it does make me look less tired (a miracle in itself!)

ELF products are also good value. I think you can only buy them online. Google ELF (sorry am rubbish at links!)
