Right - give me honest opinions oh style queens on these boots please..!?

I need some flatish black casual boots to go with skinny jeans, tights etc for the Autumn. What do you think of these??

Like em. I bought a pair last winter from toppers and these look like exactly the same basic boot but have a different strap arrangement.

Look good with lots of different things and are comfy without being middle aged.

They are very dull. If I wore them I would feel inordinately depressed.

Hmm not convinced they are frumpy, watched a video of some trendy looking, young singer prancing about in boots exactly like these, skinny jeans and a vest with lots of long necklaces on, She looked fab.

I would wear them with skinny jeans - don't own a pair of bootlegs! I've ordered this top from French Connection along with these trousers/jeans. So I wouldn't be wearing them with polyester slacks and a spotty blouse from BHS... Only wear them during the day too.

Hmm. Not overly keen. Tricky length to wear too - they look like they'll sit right on the ankle and cut your leg off.

Now I have had another look and I like the style and see where you are going with the outfit but I don't think those are the right boots. There is something not quite right, I think maybe too shiny and they are a little cheap looking. Maybe a more worn/distressed look would suit better?

Tragically. I have decided against them - for exactly same reasons as you say - I have a pair of Carvela grey/black boots which are more distressed looking so gonna keep my money in purse! They are too new looking - that's what's put me off and what makes them look bit middle aged.

More of a dark grey/blackish is a better choice, save your money or spend it on a bag to go with the outfit
