I have long hair, and im bored with it! I do love long hair, but i feel like i have no style, im on my own with 4 kids, so i dont have much time to do anything with it, im lucky though as its nice thick hair with a good natural wave to it so i can easily wear it straight or curly and when i do go out i can do a variety of styles (i used to be a hairdresser so ive got many tricks up my sleeve lol) but i find myself staring at ladies with a lovely straight simple bob and be very tempted! Anyone else had there loved locks chopped??? Did you regret it, or did you LOVE it?? Smile

i get the phases of chopping it all off, did it at 16 then again last march, it feels good for ... ooh.. about an hour then its a case of omg where is all my beautiful hair?? mines just got back to slightly below shoulder lengh and i love it love it love it so much!

as long as you get a good style cut in and if its super thick like mine get it thinned in between cuts you'll feel better with it :) sometimes a change of style is more needed than a change in lengh iyswim.

whatever you do hope you like the results Grin

I'm always going between long and short.

I always cut it myself too Grin cut it off one day when it wasn't going into the style I wanted for an evening out. It's just hair, it grows back.

Bloofer I really like a juxtaposition between hairstyle and clothes style, I think it's really chic to have really polished neat short hair and more boho clothes. Who wants to look like Pippa Middleton? Bo-Ring! Wink

I had near waist length hair and got really fed up with the amount of time I had to spend on it; I even had to put it up when I went to bed otherwise it was near impossible to deal with the next day.

I had my hair cut totally off - into a pixie cut (a la rihanna) and I love it. It's washed, towelled dry, and gets roughly styled by hand. It takes 5 minutes at most and I'm never going back Grin

I had mine long until 4 years ago when I went medium short then cropped.
I loved it and felt very liberated and found it loads easier to manage. I have now grown it long again but miss the ease of having it short. I have thick, wavy, hard to manage hair then is loads easier short! I think I will cut mine off again soon ;)

I never thought of it like that Time - I thought I just looked like a Victorian Dairy Maid who'd been mugged by a hairdresser in 2010 Shoreditch!! Obviously I can't help strongly resembling P-Middy, especially in the derriere department hem hem.

I cut my boob length (but shaped and styled) hair because ends were a bit dead and dry. Now it is shoulder length. I hate it. It is not sexy at all. I always think short hair looks stylish but naff on women sorry.

Mine was waist-length and I had it cut in a very short crop. Have had it that short for 15 years now and I love it. It doesn't take any time at all to deal with on a day-to-day basis; I intentionally get it cut 'messy' so that I can just run my hands through it with some leave-in conditioner and it never looks that bad.

I love my short hair so much but am starting to worry that as I age (36 now, gulp) it looks less gamine and more ... librarian/frump.

I cut mine off nearly 11 years ago, and regret it. I did it in a fit of frustration after a day when I'd been changing nappies, forgot to tie back my hair and it fell into a sloppy poo of dd's.

Even though I'm dyeing it on a regular basis, I'm growing it again.
