What style of dress should I buy for this Christening? I am breastfeeding and potnatally flabby.

DS is 5 weeks old and breastfeeds every hour and a half so I need something with easy access.

I used to be a size 12 but now am possibly a flabby 14. Boobs are decent, legs not to bad (will get a spray tan or something to help them out) the middle bit is a disaster, its all lumpy and like play dough at the moment, plus I seem to have fatty pouches that are on my hips, side and just above my bum. I look frumpy and fat in all my clothes and want to look nice for a Christening next week.

I am 5'5, dark hair and 28 years old.

Any ideas?

I waited, it's taken nearly 18 months but I look back at my older children's Christening and I look like a sack of shite, so this time I've hung on until I've lost the weight, bubs doesn't need to BF every 5 mins and I've found a dress I actually like.
Is it too late to rearrange ?

Buy a pair of hold-you-in-pants that go from thigh to under bust (not glamorous but will give you confidence.) I was still feeding at both my daughter's christenings. For the 1st I wore quite a full knee-length skirt and a wrapover top and for the second I wore a mock wrapover dress and just pulled it to the side.
A pair of tailored trousers and a pretty but bf friendly top could work too.

I can remember sitting on the lavatory and seeing my tum resting on my thighs; like a kitten, though not nearly so attractive.:o

Its not my DS's Christening but a family members so I can't get out of going.

I think I nay have a pair of hold-em-in pants somewhere but I don't get on with them very well, they roll up and down and end up looking like a rubber ring around my middle

I will have a look at some wrap dress type things, I have been in leggings for so long that I have no idea where to start.

the top has now been reduced to £35.50 in 'ocean' - the colour i got - they have it in size 12 and 14. I would get a 12, as the cut is generous. I'm dark too, and the colour is a lovely with dark hair.

I also wore sparkly earrings, and a cocktail ring from accessorize and heels. I found the dark coloured jeggings more flattering than a skirt or dress, and I don't think you have to wear a dress to a christening? anyway, lots of people said how well i looked, and how slim (and believe me, the truth, under the top was different!)

personally, i hate wrap dresses - i think they only look good if you have a well defined waist
