Knee-length school socks for tall girl!

I've been buying navy knee-length M&S socks for my tall dd but, after only one wash, they're way too short. I seem to remember someone posting on here ages ago about a website that sells 'proper' long socks for school ............ does anyone have the details? Many thanks.

Not much help but try posting in primary education.

I don't know about socks but I do find that John Lewis tights don't shrink as much as Marks or Sainsb.But I but size 7 to 8 for my 5 year old. Also when I sent DH shopping for some he was told to return them if they shrink, so maybe the socks are worth a try.
