Land's End - is it stylish stuff?

I like their stuff but my husband reckons it's very middle aged...what do you think?

Agree 0n the down coats - I'd forgotten them. I did succumb to one when it was so cold last winter and it was beautifully warm and not too frumpy.

DoraJarr · 03/07/2011 04:04

Agree. Weather resistant coats ace
Kids stuff lovely

Canvas looks nice. Have never ordered.

spiderslegs · 03/07/2011 04:16

If you order it you are dead above the knee.

It's wrong.

You know it or you would not have asked.

Niecie · 03/07/2011 04:21

It's like anything really - moderation is the key. T-shirts, jackets, some of the knitwear are good quality - wear them as basics and team them something more exciting from somewhere else.

Head to toe Lands End is a no-no though - that would be frumpy.

Mind you I haven't ordered anything from them for ages - something always holds me back.

Satine, they might pursue you and beg you to tear your clothes off, or do it for you, depending on how offensive they found it I suppose.

DD1 (now 21) got herself a great Lands End belted 3/4 length jacket with furry trimmed hood a few winters ago and loves it.

The cold weather wear and boots are great imo, but I wouldn't wear the clothes.

mateysmum · 03/07/2011 06:01

It's all really good quality and I have some knit tops and cardis which have washed and worn many times, and yes fleeces and coats are great. But you do need to be selective otherwise boy scouts will start helping you across streets and the bus driver will ask you for your bus pass.

It is like Sears here, and is usually a couple of years out of date and somewhat frumpy. Some things are ok. I am in my 50's and I wouldn't wear it. Lot's of polyester fabrics.

More like 20 years out of date!

MooM00 · 03/07/2011 10:28

noddyholder · 03/07/2011 12:30
