Help me accessorise for a ball. I fear the 20 weeks bump is not going to cut it.

I have the dress here

I know it is not very ball swishy like but i am prg and refuse to fork out out £££ on a dress i will only wear once.

I need accessories to make it ball like.

Thank you.

Really Scotsgirl? I am ordering them. I have the ball and a wedding plus a nice holiday in August. They will be well worn.

Thank you!

They basically do the same as ordinary spanx for the, em, back view, but the material over where your bump sits is a lot finer and stretchier. It really doesn't hold your bump in at all - if anything mine possibly looked slightly bigger when I was wearing them as they made the bump seem more defined. Especially at sort of 20ish weeks when I was at the "pregnant or fat" stage, they made it obvious that it was definitely a baby, and not too many sausage rolls!

I know a lot of people find them objectionable but I found them useful - I preferred more fitted maternity clothes as I am busty as well, so looser stuff made me look the size of a bus. But VPL issues seem to be even worse when you're pregnant and a lot of maternity clothes are quite flimsy/cheap material.

Sorry to hijack, can i ask a maternity spanx question? How do you know what size to order? I can only find them online and the size comes up s,m, l i think i'm usually a b in spanx but can't figure out what this would be Confused. Sorry if i'm being thick.

ps lovely dress OP
