And because I heard about it on here I reserve the right to bore you senseless with every minute detail once I find out.

Please lots of people come along and tell me how much their life has changed for the better since having it done Grin and how they now turn heads wherever they go even if it is a sack, as long as the sack is the right colour Grin

Can't wait. Having it done with House of Colour, anything I need to know?

I had mine done with HoC and had quite a different experience to Tatty. It was a one to one consultation and whilst we did pick out my best colours from my pallette they weren't rated in any way. She also did my makeup for me while I was there. In all it took about 2.5 hours.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 27/06/2011 14:38

Cleverything, I've looked into training as a HoC consultant, but they have no vacancies in my area. I suppose they limit numbers to keep a realistic number of consultants in each area.
I'd recommend a style consultation as well, for anyone who already knows their colours. For that, I'd recommend HoC as I like their categorisation better it includes a special one for me!

Just sneaked a look at your profile - and remembering stalker fashion some of your Avid posts - I'd guess there might be a touch of the Romantic or possibly Ingenue about you, as well as the Classic.
But impossible to tell without going through the whole woo process Smile.

TattyDevine · 27/06/2011 22:29

Oh I couldn't work out what I am style wise. I'm too crash and brash to be ingenue or gamine. I'm not quite elegant and conservative enough to be Classic. I might be somewhere between dramatic and romantic I guess. Why don't they have a quirky/boho...

Ooh, on the subject of style has anyone else read the David Zyla book "The Color of Style"? Basically he is carrying on from Suzanne Caygill's idea that the seasonal types are not just about colouring but about facial features, body types, personalities, etc. His system gives six style archetypes for each season. Then for each he lists things like "Charming Contrasts", "Fabulous Fabrics", "Must-Haves" and "Must-Avoids".

CaptainBizarro · 28/06/2011 07:24

This is another website which walks you through a step-by-step process to work out which season and colour palatte you are. :)

WhatsWrongWithYou · 28/06/2011 09:15

Tatty, you might be a natural, or at least have an element of that mixed with something else. Do you have tousled, messy hair which looks good on you but would just look unkempt on someone more classic?
Maybe the clue is in your user name!

Satin and lace would feature as well.

I find it fascinating too - but I do find I have to rein myself in from talking about it in RL as at best you get a polite 'that's interesting,' but mostly a Hmm and two steps swiftly taken back!
Very envious of you maybe going for training.
