im really fat - will i look hideous in a maxi dress??

I am v overweight (on diet) and am not talking size 18. I have a family party to go to, will I look ridiculous in a maxi dress, will I look pregnant (had a baby 9m ago)???

I'd need to wear a cardi / shrug too.

Agree with Hully I think you have to be positively waiflike to look good in a maxi dress. They look awful on me, I'm a wobbly size 12.

Too much fabric and a bit of wind tends to make them billow or the fabric sticks to you and shows all the lumps and bumps.
