I have tried boots, estee lauder and eve lom but don't love any of them

Which is the best?

midnight secret gave me huuuuuuuge spots. I have combo-ish skin though, a friend of mine with super-dry skin swears by it.

MissHonkover · 22/06/2011 21:33

I like the Origins Plantscription. Smells lovely.

LovelyDaffs · 22/06/2011 21:35

Have been using the much publicised Estee Lauder Idealist serum since the weekend, am beginning to see a difference already.

hoxtonchick · 22/06/2011 21:47

dr organic otto rose serum from holland and barrett. only about 12 quid & very effective. i alternate with decleor balms which are good too.

ArcticRoll · 22/06/2011 22:08

Didn't like the Boots Protect and Perfect one or the Ulay one, have been using the Origins Plantscription serum-my favourite of the bunch.

ShakinScarecrow · 23/06/2011 00:38

Oh no! I just realised you meant hair serum, DUH! Oh well, I still stand by my recommendations for your tresses, but do not advocate smearing it over your visage!

ComradeJing · 23/06/2011 06:22

I can't see any difference with EL idealist but I do with advanced night repair. Brilliant stuff though I get a week of bad spots to begin with. Rosehip oil is supposed to be great too.

noddyholder · 23/06/2011 08:14

I use the Avon one it is brilliant. I can only use for 4 or 5 days at a time as it does make me a bit red and you need sun screen in the day I find but it really smooths everything. It is called anew and is not that expensive if you are used to paying eve lom or by Terry prices! All the anew stuff worked on my skin

prolificwillybreeder · 23/06/2011 11:49

I like the EL advanced night wear but I can't afford it at the moment, anyone know of anything similar and cheaper?

MissFoodie · 23/06/2011 16:50

are we talking hair or face serum then????

Hullygully · 23/06/2011 16:52

I'm hopeful of hair, but I think ol Pag means her physog.

Fifis25StottieCakes · 23/06/2011 17:26

I said whack some Aussie conditioner on then realised she meant face serum Grin

MissHonkover · 23/06/2011 17:43

That would be alright if Pag looked like this. Grin

Pagwatch · 24/06/2011 15:03

That is a lovely shot of dear mummy.

I definitely favour her.

I went for estee lauder because the lady was really nice and smiley

But I will print and keep this for about three months time Grin

YES I LOVE the Avon fake Botox serum, nodders recc'd it
I ahve the lightening one too, but havent applied that as much, but its supposed to be good for sun spots

ChuckYouFarlie · 24/06/2011 15:59

I'm about to buy Clinique Even Better serum as I've heard great things about it (well, I've read Sali Hughes say she's heard great things about it Blush but she's usually right)

'Sposed to be very good for uneven pigmentation. Anyone tried it?

hoxtonchick · 24/06/2011 17:32

i've just bought a nude one, heavily reduced. nice packaging .

winefairy · 24/06/2011 17:53

ChuckYou Unsurprisingly, I've tried it! It was good for uneven pigmentation, granted, but didn't seem to do much for wrinkles and dull skin etc. so I stopped using it after about three weeks. Depends what you want a serum to do, I guess. Did definitely reduce pigmentation marks, even after just 3 weeks and is meant to be great for acne scarring but did nothing for my lines so I gave up in disgust.
