I am looking for recommendations as my skin is looking dry and dull at the moment. Currently I am using:

  • Aapri facial scrub 1-2 times per week- I really like this as it is a 'grainy' exfoliator with lots of 'bits'. £2.99 in savers
  • Botanics deep-pore cleansing mousse- I like the 'moussy' texture of this but am concerned it may be drying my skin. Approx £5 in Boots, they often do 3 for 2 offers
  • L'oreal hydrafresh gel-cream moisturiser (the pale green one). This feels exactly like Clinique Moisture Surge moisturiser for a third of the price! £7ish in superdrug, they often do 'save 1/3' offers.

What cheaper products are you using and do you recommend them?

Sprinkles I usually use Eucerin for KP on my upper arms, but an alternative very good ( and gentle) scrub is the peppermint foot one from the Body Shop. I've found other scrubs just made it worse.

Tell you what else helps ...... go swimming a couple of times a week. Goodness knows what toxic chemicals are in our local pool, but it definitely helps - my arms always feel smoother.

pawsandclaws i hate swimming! But might be more motivated to take DS with this in mind! Best thing for mine was a very expensive MD formulations moisturiser, and getting the sun on it...hard in the UK when the KP is basically on my arse!

I am still loving my Doctor Organic wet wipes (aloe vera or tea tree) as they get all my makeup off and seem to soothe and clear my skin. I recently bought Korres ones for about 3 times the price but I think the Dr Organic ones are actually better.

I live Cetaphil it's not v cheap but I think the dearest product is about £8. The moisturiser is fantastic though.
