interview hair - up or down?

Would feel smarter , groomed and more confident if it was down - but an old thread on here talks about hair down being a no no due to some kind of research!

If you interview someone what do you think if they leave their hair long ??

I was successful in an interview when I tied my hair up and wore my glasses. I didn't get the previous interviews when I wore my hair down and I wore contact lenses :)

Wear it up, then if interview isnt going well, remove glasses, scrunchie and shake your head

You need to be groomed to look like the employer, you need to be aiming for management 'look'. So either up or down needs to look very groomed, blow dried or upstyled.

I would not mind either way, as long as it was clean and tidy, and it was not flicked/fiddled with constantly.

I interviewed someone (for a managerial position) once who twirled and twiddled her hair in what can only be described as a coquettish manner! Most disconcerting.

what kind of job is it? How long is your hair? If it's shoulder length, you could wear it down as long as it's super groomed and kept off the face (not by anything sparkly )

If long, however, put it up.

MMM Thanks all esp cybbo lol!! Will wear up but different to I usually do (low side pony tail and parting) Mollydoggerson - will definitely wear my glasses. It is long way past shoulders and i will be likely to fiddle with it .

Job is for Research Administrator at Uni gulp
