I'm under 25. My hair has always been long, right now it's halfway down my back with shaping around the front and a side parting. Naturally curly so when I wear it down it is straightened, but I always tie it up when it's curly otherwise its just like WOOSH.

I fancy a change, everybody on here says don't cut your hair short until you're old and can't pull off long hair anymore. But I figure I'll have time to grow it out again and enjoy it before I'm too old anyway? I grows quite quickly.

Anyway, I have a square shaped face with high cheekbones but not too sharp looking. Assuming I will get a side fringe cut back in. I don't know what to do about the LENGTH. As I said, I fancy a change and am considering a long bob/shoulder length do.

I am worried about it making me look fat. I'm only 5'0 (which is why I shouldnt have hair so long) and a size 8/10/12 depending on the shop (8/10 top, 10/12 bottom).

Any ideas/suggestions? Thank you

You need a good hairdresser rather than afic=xed idea of what haircut you want: a good hairdresser will know what to do, with regards to your har type, face shape, lifestyle and time and effort you're prepared to put in on a morning!

where abouts are you, are you happy with the hairdressers you're going to see?

yy, the hairdresser is key.

I've got very straight hair so can't comment, but I've seen a lot of positive stuff on here about the curly girl / no 'poo method for curly hair. It stopps the WHOOSHing, apparently.

IME the shorter the hair the more work it is.

I'm in Sheffield. I'm on a budget so can't afford to spend loads on my hair, usually about £15. My hairdresser is okay though, does a nice job but then I've never asked for anything particularly new. I will ask her her opinion and tell her what I'm prepared to put into it etc -thanks on those tips. I would never have thought of asking because I've never had to!
