6st 7 then and 8st 9 now.

I am pregnant now though. I anticipate being something over 7st after the baby is born.

For clarification, I am very, very short, so was thin, but not dangerously so.

notyummy · 13/06/2011 08:26

I think I was around 10 stone 10 (at 5ft 10)in 2005 when I married. Dh would have been about 11 1/2. He is the same height as me and naturally quite slim.

I am now 10 stone and he is about 10 stone 5 - he has been running a LOT over the past couple of years and we have both modified our diet and the amount we drink.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 13/06/2011 08:28

I was pregnant when I got married, I muchly recommend it no stressing and trying to lose weight to fit into a wedding dress. I also have no idea how much I weighed.

bamboobutton · 13/06/2011 08:29

i was about 8 1/2 stone in 2006 when i married.

two children later i am just under 12 stone.

it's slowly coming off though.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 13/06/2011 08:31

notyummy just had a look at your photos, you look fabulous in that stripey dress.

notyummy · 13/06/2011 08:51

Thank you libra. Smile

dottyaboutstripes · 13/06/2011 09:45

Got married in 1994. I weighed 12st 10. I was a size 18/20
Now, 6 children later, I weigh 9st 1 and am size 8/10

Wish I had some lovely photos of my wedding day, but I was a blob! Maybe I'll be a svelte mother of the bride one day instead :o

DH has gained weight but I don't know how much. Maybe 1.5stones? He's tall though so always looks fine anyway :)

sprinkles77 · 13/06/2011 09:51

Married 2 years ago at 9stone 2. had baby 15 months ago. now 8st 11. DH though put on more weight than me while I was pregnant (i put on about 20lb) and took longer to lose it!

I was about 8-1/2 stone when I got married 11 years ago and I'm 9-1/2 stone now, but I am seven months pregnant.

I was about 8-1/2 stone for years until I moved to the tropics and ate all the hainanese chicken rice, got pregnant, ate even more hainanese chicken rice and put 4-1/2 stone off.

Took getting pregnant to knock that last stone off again.

One thing I've noticed is in that time a size 10 at M&S has morphed from a generous size 10 to a size 14!

cjbartlett · 13/06/2011 17:28

9.5 stone when got married

12.5 stone now

oops Grin

knitknack · 13/06/2011 17:37

Notyummy I looked too because your weight and height mirrors mine... but the other way around (ie I'm 5'10'' and WANT (and used) to be 10 stone and am now 10 stone 10.... you look FANTASTIC :)

BelovedCunt · 13/06/2011 17:43

2 stone when married 34 stone now

notyummy · 13/06/2011 18:33

After these compliments I have decided to wear said stripey dress to work tomorrow- I am being interviewed by journalist and dont know of photos are required, but best be prepared. Wink

As Libraknows, I am a big exercise fan, which has made me feel much happier and more comfortable with my body. 10 stone means I am not a particular lightweight, but it is right for me and for the first time in years I don't constantly wish away 5 lbs.

JemimaMop · 13/06/2011 19:18

I am about one and a half stone heavier than when we got married 10 years ago.

Not sure if DH weighs less but his waist has gone down from a 34" to a 32", obviously my cooking isn't as good as his mother's was Grin

borderslass · 13/06/2011 19:24

Married in 1990 was about 9 stone i'm now 10 stone 4 but at one point due to health problems was 16 stone.DH was 11 stone and is now about 14 stone.

overthemill · 13/06/2011 22:40

when i got married in 1999 i was 6 months pg and weighed about 8 and a half stone and now not pg but weigh my biggest ever 10 st. got to got to got to lose it. It is entirely down to sedentary lifestyle

Blackcoffeeandcigarettes · 13/06/2011 22:48

Was 7 stone on my wedding day. Compleatly emaciated and would of argued with you blind that I was fat. (married 2007) now in 9 stone and much happier

TragicallyHip · 13/06/2011 23:09

Married in 2004. 8 stone possibly less. Now 8 stone 10. Have gone up 2 cup sizes since having Ds tho.

ThatVikRinA22 · 13/06/2011 23:12

1991 aged 19 - 7stone 5 lb.
now - wayyyyy more and dieting! currently 10st 10 and hoping to decrease!

i am very small framed and at 7stone i never looked too skinny, but at 10 stone 10 i do look overweight!

5DollarShake · 14/06/2011 03:28

Married in 2007, no idea how much I weighed.

I did definitely put on weight after marriage, but I weigh slightly less now than I did then - in fairness I lose weight most easily after childbirth thanks to b/feeding (DD is 10 months old and still b/fed).

IWouldNotCouldNotWithAGoat · 14/06/2011 06:57

I weigh half a stone less. Although I had just had a baby when I got married!

notyummy · 14/06/2011 08:16

Jemima - don't be so sure your cooking isn't as good as his mums! In the same way that women's clothes sizes have basically got bigger, it would appear that the waist sizes on jeans and trousers have too. DH has got trousers/jeans that are 10/15/18 (his tux!) years old and they are mostly a 32 waist and still fit him fine. If he goes shopping now and tries on a 32 waist it falls off him - he needs a 30 (and even that is sometimes loose) because of vanity sizing. So a 32 waist now is probably about the equivalent of a 34 10/15 years ago.

Naetha · 14/06/2011 08:23

Me and DH both weighed 14 stone when we got married 7 years ago. I now weigh 10 stone 7 and DH weighs about 12 stone.

Meggles76 · 14/06/2011 09:12

7 stone 10 when I got married and now - 10 years later and 2 kids later - 8 stone 10. TBH, I look back and think I was a bit too thin for my frame in my wedding pics. 8 stone 2 is about right for me - but I am happy, healthy, enjoy my food and can't be bothered to worry about that half stone right now. Though I will of course be crying when I put my bikini on in July Wink
