What do you make of this dress?

Bought this dress today. It was a bit £££ but I've got two weddings coming up (one late July, one early September), as well as a christening on Saturday, and I had birthday money to spend. Felt it suited me in changing room (C cup, 5ft 4, size 10-12), but at home, I felt it looked a bit odd in the top bit. Also, DD1 mentioned it looked like the print looked like bananas! What do you all think, should I take it back? Only other thing I have to wear to christening is this, which I also bought today, as that style of dress is very flattering on me, but I'm not sure its completely appropriate for a christening. What do you think?
Thanks!

I like the Monsoon dress, think it would be OK for formal occasions, although depends just how short it comes. The P8 one looks v elegant, I like it.

The coast maxi looks like a beach towel. Love the phase 8 dress though.

this looks nude, is it?

again, looks nude

could chocolate work???

nude patent peep toes

higher, peep toe again

Plenty of lowish nude slingbacks around (within budget), if you like that kind of thing.

What d'you think of any of these? Bit younger and fresher maybe?
In fact, lots of lovely ones at Oasis.

With the nude, we found out that too much pinky undertone did not work with the dress, they needed to have a greyish tone, 'champagne' 'oyster'

love that Phase 8 dress, much more than the maxi from Coast, I think you could get a similar maxi on the high street for a fraction of the price if you still wanted one OP.

Nude heels for sure.
