Waxing makes your hair lighter...

Does it actually? I see it as something many people regard as truth, and must admit that this has been the case with my legs after waxing regularily for the past four/five years (it took a while to kick in though!) and barely shaving, however it doesn't work like that on other parts of my body.

Does it actually make your hair lighter and if so, how on earth does it do that?!

Weird! I was just about to start a thread about the exact same thing - great minds and all that Wink

Been waxing my legs for a year, I get them waxed about once a month. I am quite a hairy mammoth anyway, but was wondering when I will get to the point when I hardly need to wax anymore. Hair has got lighter over the last year but still loads of it. All tips gratefully received!

I'm a hairy bugger too, usually wax every 6-8 weeks. I stay smooth for ages but once it starts growing it grows quickly! I can't wax my armpits properly for the life of me though, always end up with a patch not going as the wax clings desperately to it Blush Very annoying!
