Eyelash Growth

Please could I have some advice about this? Do the various serums advertised to promote eyelash growth/thickening actually work? Can anyone recommend one? It seems a bit too good to be true when one reads the adverts but maybe I'm too sceptical.
Thanks.

Professional makeup person I met swears they do (some of them at least).

iEmbarassedMyself · 21/05/2011 14:58

vaseline

wendihouse22 · 21/05/2011 17:24

The RapidLash....from Boots works. I have a gift voucher from Xmas and started using in March. Definite improvement. Not thickened individually but, must have a fewer lashes fall out because the overlall effect was of MORE lashes and......did grow longer, for sure.

I couldn't justify the price tag to continue it, though.

I've found Rapidlash does work, not sure about thicker but defo longer lashes. Amazon have it for about £25 and it is the genuine stuff.

BelleDameSansMerci · 21/05/2011 18:01

Rapidlash definitely works but so does Vaseline...

boris18 · 21/05/2011 20:00

Thank you all for answering. Would never have thought of Vaseline!

vjg13....thanks for the Amazon tip. Would never have thought of them....always worried that it's not the genuine article! May repurchase!

knitknack · 23/05/2011 19:19

Rapidlash is incredible - I have to trim my eyelashes at the moment!

mumtoted · 23/05/2011 19:26

Can you link to it on Amazon please, I can't seem to find it. Thanks.

wendihouse22 · 23/05/2011 20:11

knitknack....I had a look at your profile, hoping to glimpse these long lashes which require trimming and read that we have something in common, having found our DH's on a certain dating forum. I too married my loveandfriends date.....the first one I met!

Lovely pics, by the way.

i bought the avon one when it was on offer (for £5) and have noticed a definate improvement (on my brows too),well worth £5!!

wendihouse22 · 23/05/2011 21:06

sazm, what's it called? Avon one? Anyone tried something called "Talika"?

sazm · 23/05/2011 22:21

erm, its its in the avon anew range, eyelash serum, its a duo thing with mascara at one end and the serum at the other end, think the normal proce is £10,but theres usually one offer on or another lol!

wendihouse22 · 23/05/2011 22:54

Thanks.

dorsetdumpling · 24/05/2011 08:29

rapid lash has won some beauty award this week. I had lash extensions which have left my lashes in a bit of a state so might have to get some.

BlackSwan · 24/05/2011 12:38

Tried Talika - it does work to some degree (not a dramatic improvement...no trimming required!). No side effects for me.

Steer clear of Revitalash. I actually returned it because I was unhappy with the side effects - the lash line became inflamed and discoloured. It's expensive.

I recently used Enormous Lash and it definitely made my lashes longer...not all of them, but a few and it made a noticeable difference to me. Importantly I experienced no side effects. Have just gotten lazy otherwise I would still be using it.

I would rate Enormous Lash the highest. Next time I would try Rapid Lash (I may even have used it in the past, not sure) as it is cheaper than Enormous Lash.
