Do you apply face cream in the appropriate manner or just slather it on?

Are you careful about applying face creams to avoid the effects of gravity and dragging your skin into inevitable jowliness or do you just slather it on it any direction and hope for the best (like me)? Does it really matter?

What's face cream?

Upwards, always upwards. My face needs no assistance whatsoever in navigating its way southwards, so I slather it upwards whilst chanting 'lift damn you' at my jowls.

And does it really help isla?

I kind of do it gently and soothingly like a massage, but not really intentionally pulling upwards.

I use facewipes in the evenings and scrub away at my face then so probably undo any good work I do with moisturiser anyway.

Ach, I've no idea, but it has to be counter productive to pull your skin down I suppose. Unfortunately no amount of upward slathering or chanting will turn me into Cindy Crawford, but I'm cautiously optimistic that I can avoid the Mick Jagger look.

As if applying cream twice a day upwards would counteract gravity!!! Snort! Grin They really do come up with some utter tosh, don't they? Grin

Slather it on!

I try to be a little bit more careful just around the eyes, otherwise I just slather it on.. Who has the energy to apply it upwards etc every day..
