Does it matter if you never get your hair cut?

I have had bad experience of hairdressers all my life, they always cut too much off,do what they like, not what i ask for etc..

So now i've not cut my hair for over a year,it's long layered still and wavy.

Will it matter?

Yes. I am too tight to get my haircut reguarly but it was in such a state I relented last week. Nineteen quid and I feel like a new woman. The split ends on my hair were dreadful. I'm goign to try and actually keep up with it every few months now too.

Yes. Split ends look tatty and make you look older and really long hair makes you look like a hippy. Cut but not too often and ask for longer than you actually want so if they over cut it wont be too bad.

see i don't have any split ends, hair is soft etc,a bit fine but it's always been like that.

Depends on the hair.

Mine doesn't grow any longer than my shoulders what ever I do to it (i.e. cut it regularly or ignore it), so now I don't bother. I occasionally snip a tiny bit off the ends but as it is so fuzzy, it doesn't look any different before or after.

I haven't had my hair cut for a year either. My hair is in very good condition as I don't use a hairdryer or straighteners. I will probably get dh to give a trim soon.

I stopped straightening mine about 4 mths ago and have embraced the wave Grin it's quite liberating Smile

You have to get it cut every now and again otherwise you'll have those horrible wispy, straggly ends like a woman I drove past the other day.

Her hair was waist length but the end 6ins or so was just horrible

I have hair cut and coloured every 6 - 7 weeks. I have a short - hopefully chic - bob and it soon grows out of style. I am also cursed by lots of greys in my mid 30s so need to get rid of them.

Nice hair makes me feel much more self confident. I would rather spend less on clothes and have a decent hair cut. It's true that you wear your hair everyday!
