what's your summer skirt equivalent of dark jeans?

I can't work out what to wear on the bottom half when I'm in a can't-really-be-bothered mood, and just want to sling something on.

Need inspiration - somehow a denim skirt doesn't seem to be the right thing!

See I'm a pear and think the cuffs emphasise narrow ankles while baggier thigh area is v good. Houlihans I like on other people but make me thunderthighs.

Houlihans are cut much better than the cheaper variations - I've tried many on - thats why they cost more. But from revolve clothing they were on sale at £70 aprox and I have worn them lots.

Am not really a shorts person but love a denim mini skirt for holidays - just got a white one from gap - because I think I'm 22 and in TOWIE

I do the cropped jean bit but not so much fun as a skirt

I must say I generally just don't do skirts any more - dresses are so much easier.

cyb I namechange fairly often, quite like this so will stick with. I have moments of success on S and B but have also been derided as chav for liking Pandora and Juicy

Goodegg - I seriously had a major wardrobe sort out last week as realised I had become too mutton. But then DH accused me of being too elegant Of course he loves the TOWIE look being a man and having no fashion sense whatsoever.

Same dark jeans with legs turned up.

It's a fine line MrsCB. Which is why we need soooo much wardrobe space for all the people we have to be.

Cropped dark jeans. I hate skirts, espeically denim ones

I have a pair of pale denim, very thin silky cotton jeans/ trousers which I bought from Monsoon last summer. Absolutely fantastic as they are a wider leg (anything is compared to skinnies) but not flared. They let the air in. But they go with everything and are really great for changeable weather ie now as well as full summer. I saw some in Monsoon today as well.

Skirts...hmm.
I have a black linen biased cut flared knee length one.
The same one but longer (for when I have not shaved my legs).
One denim stretch knee length skirt.
One denim/thick blue cotton knee length fitted skirt, with saucy zip on side.
I think the denim works because they are quite tight. They look OK with either high wedges or flats, though the high ones make my calves look nicer.

I am another good-legged apple (sounds wierd!) and practically live in this Hobbs Adele skirt in spring/summer. I also love white jeans and little summer dresses.
