A quick question, if you would be so kind as to help me.
I've just had my thick, almost black hair highlighted and while I'm pleased with the colour the texture now strongly resembles straw. There isn't much breakage but I obviously need to avoid heat treatment for a while (ponytail it is!) and am looking for a good, intensive conditioner to bring back some (any) of the moisture and softness. Any recommendations? I don't mind paying through the nose if it rescues my poor hair!

Tigi Bedhead Dumb Blonde reconstructor - I regularly lighten my hair and this stuff has been my saviour. It is not just for blonde hair, says so on the bottle. I paid about £8 from TJ Hughes and it is the best I have ever used (and believe me I have tried a lot Grin

Kerastase masquintense has good reviews from a few on here.
I've tried it - smells lovely and my fine silky hair was fine and silky. Have heard it works better on thicker hair.

Masquintense yes yes! I have highlighted hair and it's the only thing which seems to actually strengthen and thicken my hair, not on a one-off basis but if I use weekly, my hair grows quicker and can handle the heat bashing I give it. I need some more actually looking at the state of my hair Hmm Pricey but soo worth it.

The John Frieda leave in stuff is quite good.
