What do we think of this dress?

Here

Tried on today in usual 30 minute lunchbreak shopping frenzy...looks nicer on than in the picture I think, skirt has nets under so flares out more.

Is is too frilly though? I like a frill, but too many?

Could you wear in for a daytime event do you think or evening only?

And accessories - Black?

Very pretty kitty, but a bit too fussy i think.

MrsCampbellBlack · 18/05/2011 21:00

Too fussy for me and a bit too themey flamenco.

I like the colour and the idea though.

MerylStrop · 18/05/2011 21:02

I quite like it

I would say nude/neutral accessories. Black will eighties-ify it and it's already in that territory.

KittySpencer · 18/05/2011 21:02

It is a bit too flamenco isn't it Confused

On reflection I had one of those souvenir spanish dolls when I was little who I remember wore something very similar albeit full length! :)

I really like it. I bought a very similar one from debenhams and totally lived, wore it my dh's 40th. Black accessories fine as black netting shows underneath.

Ooh, I really like it. Not too many frills IMO since the outline is simple. It is a lot better without the slim shoulder strap (assuming it stays up without).

It's definitely an "occasion" dress but could do day or eve - would look great for a wedding.

I wouldn't do black accessories though, black and red is quite hard. Nude accessories would be best, or cream maybe. And no necklace.

Bohica · 18/05/2011 21:09

I really like it but wouldn't wear it during the day unless I went to a wedding or the races. I wouldn't wear black accessories though, I would keep it simple & probably wear something glittery/diamondie made up word in my hair.

plipplops · 18/05/2011 21:46

I like it but think you might need big boobs (obvs don't know about yours?) to pull it off as it looks a bit bottom heavy? I'd agree with nude/neutral accessories, I think black would look a bit like you just didn't know what would go with it so were playing safe...

KittySpencer · 18/05/2011 22:34

being easily led, now that some of you DO like it am thinking maybe I do too...am going to have to go and try it on again tomorrow! :)

and plipplops you're right, it is quite a bottom heavy dress, I am however not lacking in the boob dept Blush so it sort of balances out I think.

also think you're all spot on re neutral accessories rather than black which on reflection would look wrong!
