Silver Celebrations

S&B is my spiritual home but I'm really struggling with this one.

My big sister is having her silver wedding anniversary celebrations next month. A party at her house for friends (with much dancing) and a buffet lunch with family inc distant cousins. She wants me to help her to choose a dress as her dress sense is 'decidedly dodgy' (her words) but she is a very different shape to me and I'm struggling for ideas.

She is a curvy size 16+, big boobs (F?) and tummy and hips. She doesn't have much of a waist, is this an apple shape??? She says she has a hankering for a maxi but I think potentially disastrous for her shape and also a bit crap for dancing in so my temptation is to steer her away from this but in what direction.

Please be my rudder S&B gurus, I want her to look gorgeous. Budget for dress £150ish

How about anything from the search I narrowed down here?

Bugger, that should have just been silver frocks but in any case i misunderstood request.
Use settings on left to go through according to category or peruse the whole ot.

JL has a fantastic choice.
Always my first port of call.

Moondog you are a hero, but the stupid 'you are here to work' settings on this computer mean that although I can mumsnet to my hearts content, I can't open any of your links 'adware' apparently.

Will have a good old look when I get home!
Thanks again
