What do you wear to keep warm at a wedding?

I am going to a wedding next Sunday. It is simply not warm enough for me to wear this dress in navy without a cardi or similar arm covering device. Inside or out. I will shiver and be miserable. I went to a wedding once without a cardi and had to spend the entire event with my coat on. Ok, it might be boiling. But it won't.

I am also wearing round toe purple patent shoes and either opaque or navy tights. The tights are also non-negotiable for shivery reasons. I have a turquoise handbag. I therefore need something either turquoise or purple to keep me warm. I think. My normal style advisor is in bloody Cannes the lucky thing.

Help me, ladies, please. I have scoured the internet and am coming up with nothing. Budget is up to £60, natural materials preferred, must be able to buy online in a size 10 as I can't get to the shops this week.

Hi there - I went to a wedding in early March and it was freezing.... I wore a Monsoon sleeveless maxi dress and bought a cardi from Monsoon to go over it - was still freezing outside but think I would have died of hypothermia without it...

Here's a link to Monsoon cardis - there are a couple of turquoise and navy ones and I like their cardis as they're posher than your average ones and therefore OK for weddings! Grin

Oooh, thanks Dottydot. I have no idea why I didn't think of Monsoon. Anyway, I bought this which is precisely the same colour as my handbag and 100% cotton so I am now sorted.

Thanks again.
