For a wedding later on this summer - shoes and cardi sugestions most gratefully received!

Funny you should link that dress! I went to see the JL personal shopper yesterday to make an appointment. Got chatting to the girl and she talked about 2 dresses - one being the one you have linked and the other being a planet one.

Mine is also for a wedding but the girl will do the full outfit for me if I like it. I do think it is very pretty but I think it will make me look too big over the norks.

Will be marking my spot so I can come back to this!

It's the only simple and not too expensive maxi dress I'm liking.

Norks have shrunk considerable after dd so am enjoying not having to worry about them as much atm!

I am thinking probably flats as will have dd with us at the wedding and she is getting super speedy and constantly making a bid for freedom.

I'm not sure you'd need earings as there is already a lot of detail at the top - if you did wear them I'd pick something very simple. Pick out the colour of the neck detail and get a statement cuff to match. Some metallic sandles and I'd leave it at that.

Pinkflipflop · 13/05/2011 16:14

Love the dress - is it low cut?

theladylovescupcakes · 13/05/2011 16:24

I like this! Agree with sweetheart's suggestion, maybe a small dangly pair of earrings and a nice cuff. Flat sandals. Lovely!

gregssausageroll · 13/05/2011 16:53

What would you wear as a shoulder cover though? Church and all that!

dexter73 · 13/05/2011 17:15

How about this jacket?

FellatioNelson · 13/05/2011 17:23

Also agree with Sweetheart. No necklace as all that beading at the neckline will be too cluttered. A couple of chunky silver bangles/cuffs would be lovely.

pommedechocolat · 13/05/2011 19:18

Silver bangles sounds like a fun thing to buy too!! Will think about that jacket - I would naturally go for a more casual delicate cardi but maybe I could do tailoring with it...

Do phase eight sizes tend to come up small or big - have never had anything by them before.

I have a jumper in a size 18 and a dress in a 12 from Phase Eight. They are both a bit big. Hmm

pommedechocolat · 14/05/2011 08:17

Ah. Still no clearer then but thanks Fellatio!

Well my point was that it is all a bit random! When I bought the size 18 jumper I was a 16 in most other brands, so I thought they came up small, but (having lost weight admittedly) I recently bought a size 12 dress there, and it is massive. I probably could have fitted into a 10 and there is NO WAY I'm a ten.

winefairy · 14/05/2011 08:45

Just noticed there's 20% off the dress today which makes it both lovely and affordable. Agree that it wouldn't need much accessorising as it's quite embellished.

pommedechocolat · 14/05/2011 09:06

Ooo I'm going to get it today then thanks winefairy! I am a 10 or 12 for dresses so will buy a 10 and see what it's like!
Thanks everyone. Any delicate cardis that would match would be appreciated... ! :)

Haha! the dress I said was a size 12 and massive so I could have bought a 10? I've just looked at it and realised it is a 10!

FellatioNelson · 15/05/2011 09:38

Hmm...
