here

it's amazing! Works like a dream! I've lost most of my baby weight since having DD2 (10 months) but have been left with a horrible saggy tummy... the vest is just what I've been looking for, sucks it all in, gives me a smooth line under tops.

So whoever it was that mentioned them on a thread a few weeks ago, thank you!! I'm wearing a top I haven't worn in over a year! Grin

Ooh, well I'm thanking you in advance then blindmelon because this is exactly the sort of thing I need. Am off into town today to have a look!

(love the name btw)

EttiKetti · 10/05/2011 08:55

ooooh sounds like somehing I need, I woke up a few weeks ago with a strange mini tyre on my midrif despite losing weight?!

blindmelon · 10/05/2011 08:58

Grin glad to be of service! They are a bit tricky to get over your head, and after reading the reviews on the website I sized up (am normally a 12 but I got a 14) but once it's on it is comfy, it's a good length and doesn't ride up.

Just had a look, which one have you got? I am liking the flesh one as i looks thinner for summer but wonder if it will DO enough....it says to step into them as well....eek my hips are my biggest part!!!

blindmelon · 10/05/2011 09:12

they only had black or white in my local M&S, I got a black one. I think I'll go back for a white one though as it looks better with summer tops I think. The fabric is quite light - like a normal cotton vest but with an extra layer of spanx-type stuff around the tummy area.

I think it's probably good if you've got a figure a bit like mine... I'm back to a normal-ish size 12 figure and most of my pre-preg clothes fit, but I just have a wobbly mummy tummy of saggy skin that I'm always trying to hide! I've tried support pants/spanx type things but I find them really uncomfortable and the fat always ends up spilling over the top.

I don' step into it, just squeeze it over my head, but then I do have small-ish boobs!

Just seen you linked to the one you have DOH! Right am going to try some on in local store! Am a 16, but due to massive weight loss have lots of fleshy areas that magic knickers resolved but the midrif area needs assistance! Thank YOU!!!

Sammy74 · 10/05/2011 09:49

I have one of these - they are brilliant - really smooths down the muffin top when you are wearing jeans.

I step into mine!

bustersmummy · 10/05/2011 09:58

Would you all go a size up then?

Am a size 12 but would go for a 14 if you thought it would fit better?

MilliONaire · 10/05/2011 10:05

Thanks for that tip off! I am a size 12 but dislike the spare tyre look jeans and fitted tops sometimes give so I am off to get me one of these! Perfect for wearing under tighter tops. Hope it works now!!

bishboschone · 10/05/2011 12:25

they do them in primark too for about £6. I am sure they are exactly the same..I have loads.

blindmelon · 10/05/2011 12:29

bustersmummy, I am normally a 12 and I have found the 14 is a perfect fit- it holds me in but isn't uncomfortable and doesn't ride up. Although in our M&S they didn't have any 12s in stock otherwise I would have tried one just for comparison.

bishboschone, thanks for the tip, I'll check out primark!

bustersmummy · 10/05/2011 12:31

I too will check primark before I buy in M&S - that's half the price of the marksies ones!

hondachic · 10/05/2011 14:04

M&S are the best - I recommend these to my clients, having road-tested them for 2 years now!! Smile

MarioandLuigi · 10/05/2011 14:07

So do you ahve to size up? I am a 14 normally so would a 16 be best?

hondachic · 10/05/2011 14:13

Go for whatever size you feel comfortable in - try both to make sure you're not getting lines around your back and can breath - it should give smooth lines under your garment!

bluesky · 10/05/2011 14:15

glad to find this thread, and realise I'm not a completely bizarre shape as I couldn't get the blasted thing over my head!! Will go up a size, thank you!

hondachic · 10/05/2011 14:15

the idea is that you can wear your bra underneath if you have a fuller bust...

hondachic · 10/05/2011 14:16

you're welcomeSmile

ullainga · 10/05/2011 14:30

don't try to pull it on over your head. step in it and pull it up, way easier, I promise.

JoanofArgos · 10/05/2011 14:33

god, I wish I'd read this thread as far as the sizing up bit before I bought one this afternoon - got it home, got arm stuck, eased way back out, left in crumpled ball on floor!

bishboschone · 10/05/2011 14:50

I buy size 8-10 in primark( am pregnant at mo but they keep that bit of extra skin under control with mylow rise jeans) I always strp into mine and wear a bra underneath. I have had ine for ages..maybe years some of them. I just buy new ones when I am passing primark. I usually wear one every day and have never had a problem with quality. My mum has M and s ones and I swear they are exactly the same. Primark have some fab shapewear actually..

bishboschone · 10/05/2011 14:51

I meant , I don't size up normally.

Oh no JoanofArgos (love the name!) try stepping into it and come and report back Grin

OP posts:
bustersmummy · 10/05/2011 16:57

Well I bought the 14 and it's not exactly making a difference, but then in some M&S stuff I'm a 10 so maybe I should've gone for the 12?
