I believe that underwired bras are not recommended when breastfeeding as the constriction can cause mastitis. Have you tried hotmilk? Some lovely stuff here.

I had an Anita one which I loved. I am prone to blocked ducts/mastitis, but never got it any less if I avoided underwires. Is extra important to make sure bra fits though - not pressing on breast tissue etc.

I second the Anita recommendation - the best nursing bra I had. I know underwired bras aren't generally recommended, but I believe these have a softer 'wire' to make them suitable. I also tried some cheaper ones from Vertbaudet but they weren't even close - you definitely get what you pay for.

If you cannot find a nursing bra that fits properly, for whatever reason, then it's worth trying underwire. You can always convert a normal bra to a feeding bra (if I can do it anyone can!). I found that I got horrendous blocked ducts from the horrible non wired ones (I was a 32K when feeding Shock) and wish I'd tried properly fitting wired ones earlier because it might actually have helped me.

I got one from figleaves.com - can't remember the make I'm afraid, but anita does ring a vague bell..

Agree with ellangirl - I'm sure a well fitting underwire bra must be better than ill fitting non-wired. I'm about a 32G when BFing, and it's a pain finding any bra to fit.

Anita one is great. I found non-underwired ones not supportive enough with enormous BF chest. IME as long as it's properly fitting, it will be fine.

Another vote for Anita here. They do have lighter wires than usual underwired bras. Still important to check it fits properly, last time I bought one I went up a cup and down a back size which gave a much nicer rounded fit.
