do you use any old moisturiser or is there a special cream out there!

bumping as also interested. I found E45 worked well when mine looked more wrinkly than usual after being in the sun

I had one of those facial peels on mine a few years ago and it certainly helped. Ever since then I've always put sunblock on if I'm wearing a v neck or lower top.

Years ago remember some make up artist or other saying you should moisturise from face to neck to top edges of the bra every day.

I do this and am not crepey, despite being late 50s. Not sure if being small of nork helps at all. I get those lines when getting out of bed in the morning, but they've gone by the time i get out of the house.

Also sunscreen like mad for Aussie sun. And then get told my vitamin D levels are low!

I'm sure there's something by It Works that all the beauty editors rave about.
I think factor 50 and limiting sun exposure helps to avoid the Deidre Barlow look.

The older I get, the more convinced I am that there is really fuck all you can do.

Mine is turning too - nothing much seems to work! But then again, my mum had skin like this and I seem to have inherited it!

PrettyCandles · 07/05/2011 08:11

I use fairly rich moisturiser, eg vitamin E night creams, on my décolletage. Like Echt, I moisturise from brow to bra. Unfortunately I only realised a few years ago that I need to do this. I use factor 15 moisturisers all year round, but in spring/summer I use l'oreal anti-ageing sun protection factor 30 or 50, and cover my wattelage in strong sunshine whenever possible.

It's a good idea to moisturise this part of your body with the back of your hands. Anti-ageing type moisturisers are wasted on your palms, but the skin on the backs of your hands also shows ageing very strongly, so should be treated too.

Sleeping on your back reduces the morning wrinkles (as does having small boobs!).

sailorsgal · 07/05/2011 11:03

I never thought I would be thankful for small boobs. I will try the sleeping on my back but always end up on my side so the lines are very obvious in the mornings.

Will moisturise, moisturise, moisturise.

I wear a bra to minimise pulling, lolling and general floppage whilst sleeping, but also slap on sunscreen when wearing a V neck. Also moisturise every day from neck to boob with a rich cream with urea something like Garnier hydra something or other?

PrettyCandles · 07/05/2011 17:02

Anyone tried these?

Bonsoir · 07/05/2011 17:05

You need to exfoliate and moisturise your neck, shoulders and décolleté every day in the bath - an exfoliating mitt is good, with a moisturising shower gel - and then slather on the same strength body lotion that you use on the driest areas (eg shins). Every day.

cabbageroses · 07/05/2011 17:55

You can get the furrows plumped up with restylane.

otherwise avoid sun at all costs to avoid.

sailorsgal · 07/05/2011 19:10

prettycandles they look good, have never seen them before.

When I was younger and went for facials I used to think why oh why do they do this area aswell. I do know why now!
