Saggy crepey wrinkly dissapearing tits - HELP!!!!

Sad Oh God someone please help me!

Am 39yo. For years was a size 38C pre kids. Got fat when pregnant and didnt loose the weight for years. At my fattest my bra size was a 40E or a 42DD.

After BF both DCs any "tone" in my breasts went and they were just sad and floppy but kind of bouyant because of my weight iykwim.

Roll on 10 years and I finally lost a decent amount of weight. All in all over 4 years I have lost just over 5 stone but 3 stone of that has been in the last 6 months. I am still in the Obese range for my height and need to loose well over a stone to get to the very top of my healthy weight range.

My tits have literally gone. In their place I have 2 flaps of skin with a small amount of "boob" at the very end of them - about the same size as my areola. And they just point south as far bloody south as possible. Its almost like the top of my breast has gone concave.

They are truely vile, sorry and pathetic looking. Its quite upsetting but I can kind of live with what they look like when I am starkers buts its what they look like when I am dressed that distresses me the most. Sad

So in the past 6 weeks I have been on a mission to find and invest in some decent bras that will lift my flaps tits and give me some shape.

Well i have been to La Senza, 2 x M&S's, John Lewis, Debenhams and 3 independent bra/underwear shops to be properly fitted. My bra size is apparrently 36C,38C,38B,36B Confused. They all differ. So did the type of bras they recommended but hey I was willing to try anything and prepared to fork out if something worked.

However, I cannot find a bra that fits. Any kind of booster bra (which they all recommended) just pushes my flaps of boob up and create a crepey, wrinkly cleavage and breast. I mean its so wrinkly if you looked at my boobs alone you would think I was 85 plus. There is just so much spare skin. [boak] Sad.

I have tried padded, underwired, softcup, balconette etc etc. Its looking like I NEED to have a padded bra because an unpadded bra cannot hide the way the skin folds when the breast is lifted into any kind of cup - you can see them in an unpadded cup, even through a T shirt. Mind you - the folds are so big some padded bras do not hide them either. Sad.

I have spent today trying on maxi dresses and after 9 different dresses gave up because my tits are in the wrong place (just hanging down my front). I have no bra (strapless/multiway) to lift my boobs up to the right place. Even if I wear a standard bra - the top of my cleavage is so wrinkled and vile I just cannot bear it. Its the same with most summer tops and I dont just mean low cut, just normal v necks, vest tops etc.

Has anyone been in this situation? Can anyone recommend summer tops with good built in lift for smaller boobs?

I am desperate to try anything. I am so so against plastic surgery but seriously considering it atm cos I feel so repulsed by myself but its not something I can entertain doing until I have A) Saved the money and B) Stabilise my weight.

Any bra recommendations, summer tops recommendations, advice, tips or anything you can say to help me would be so so appreciated.

I am a mumsnet regular - I have name changed because I am so disgusted and ashamed I have done this to my body.

I have no advice as I use my weight to plump up my boobs, but you sound so fed up I want to give you a big matronly ((hug)).

Sad

If it is any comfort, you must have a bit of breast left if you are still a c cup?

I also have very soft, saggy breasts after four years of breast feeding. I have found it very hard to get bras because, as you have said, I sort of just spill over the top or fold at the cleavage. I've tried on heaps of bras and I have only found one that worked. It is padded and structured, a sort of v shape, which covers more of my breast than usual. When I sit down my breasts kind of sag in it, but as the bra comes up quite high it still looks like I have a decent shape.

The only other thing that works are maternity type singlets, with a lot of support - but it makes me look much flatter (I'm a 10C).

Sorry to say this, but the only thing to do is have surgery. That said, it's not that big a deal. I had the same problem: breasts saggy and wrinkled and empty. And I was only 25. Roll on a few years to 35 and I just couldn't stand it, so I had breast augmentation. It was the best thing I have ever done. I am in my 40s now and my breasts look great!

Go for it - you won't regret it.

First, well done on losing all that weight! Have a boob job when you are finished losing weight, not before. Why are you against plastic surgery? Or you could try macrolene breast injections. In the meantime go to Rigby & Peller who do the best bras. Let them fit you and suggest some - don;t even bother trying to choose one yourself, Let them do the work, they know exactly what they are doing.

Well there is a very dodgy gel on ebay which claims to make your breasts grow....

I would also get to the gym and work on your pec muscles which will improve the sag a little I would think?

Or get hand weights, lie on the floor and start with your arms spread on the floor and bring to the chest, probably best to search for chest exercises.

Good luck!

mytitshavegone · 03/05/2011 08:52

Thanks for the tips. Off to google Rigby and Pellar and relieved to know I am not the only person in the whole wide world with sad tits!! Not that I would wish the hideosity on anyone else.

I am coming around to plastic surgery due to the hideous state if my boobs but dread to think how we will cover the cost of it.

It won't solve the problem related to bra issues but I recommend trying Boob Tube by Mama Mio and also Skin Tight . I haven't used the Boob Tube but can vouch for the efficacy of the Skin Tight product. I have used it on my legs, tummy and boobs and am very pleased with the results. A little goes a long way and your skin looks better even after the first application. I had a very crepey chest - all along the top of each breast - caused by weight loss (I went from 32A pre DC to 38EE during preg/BFing and finally settled at a 32C). I have tried and continue to use many Mama Mio products. The discount code "kateisfab" will get you 20% off :)

If you are considering surgery, I can also recommend a great surgeon who did a fab job of my tummy tuck and is apparently more renowned for his breast work. I know you are perhaps some way off this decision but its always good to start research early.

I have post weight loss empty crepey tits. Tennis balls in socks. I despise them. I'd have surgery in a shot if I could afford it. Worse, is the prospect of having to show them to new men.

monkeysmama · 03/05/2011 09:27

I have the same after bfing for 2 years. I am still a 34F but my boobs are just empty and increasingly crepey. I find that t shirt bras really help with how I feel about them. I like these for a bit of lift and the shape under clothes.

have you tried targetted exercise for upper abdomen as this as well as general excercise should make things seem in more proportion. Avon do a bust cream which may help a little also? I do think it's pregnancy rather than breastfeeding which has an effect on your body but anyway good luck getting the results you want!

Celery · 03/05/2011 12:11

Significant weight loss is the thing that effects breasts more than anything.
I lost four stone and I was a 40F. Now I fold my flaps of skin into a 32DD bra. If I had them lifted, and got rid of all of the excess skin, I'm sure I'd be more of a C cup. Not everyone can afford cosmetic surgery :(

I don't regret losing the weight one bit though.
